oil change BX23

I just did the 100 hour maintenance on my BX23 and the manufacturing maintenance schedule has the oil to be changed but not the filter.

Can someone explain the rationale of this to me as with cars it is customary to change the filter and oil together?

When I got to the 100 hour point I changed the oil and filter, what’s six bucks when you just spent fifteen thousand on the tractor. ....

I am at the same point and plan to do both oil and filter for the same reason. Don't be penny wise and dollar foolish. ....
